IEA is a Brussels-based trade association representing producers of synthetic ethanol for industrial use in Europe. It is not-for-profit and complies strictly with Belgian and European laws.

Mission

In line with the importance of ethanol to society, IEA’s mission is to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information about synthetic ethanol and to enter into dialogue with all stakeholders.
• Promote and protect the long-term future of the industry in Europe.
• Assist the transition to a biofuels economy by ensuring that supplies of bioethanol are available for fuel.
• Ensure fairness in trade and customs to support the above.
